September 9, 2013
Again this year, the museum will be closing on September 30, 2013 and will reopen on May 1, 2014.
This is an austerity decision to conserve funds. It cost a lots of money to heat the museum and visitors are few during the cold months. It also gives us a chance to do much needed building and display maintenance and artefact inventory.
Staff will be available by appointment and even special events and freight shed event rentals will be considered.
In the meantime, we will hopefully be developing our web site over the winter to sell museum souvenirs and ship them out to those who desire a keepsake they might have forgotten to pick up the last time they visited.
So come on out one last time before the doors close for winter and catch up on the latest goings-on at the station! If we don't see you before closing then look for our spring opening and come see what we've done over the winter while the doors were closed.
